Connecting ORCID and Knowledge Commons

I recently posted about the ORCID Global Participation fund grant we received to develop and launch an updated plugin for displaying ORCID data on WordPress-based websites, specifically on Knowledge Commons (KC).

This project is vital to our long-term vision of KC as a platform where scholars showcase, conduct and publish their scholarly work and practice. ORCID provides the ability to link to other systems and to connect with the broader public, making work in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences more visible. Through this work we establish the foundations upon which to build out greater connectivity across the digital scholarly landscape.

In October, I participated in a panel about Persistent Identifiers in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

My slides from this panel give an overview of our work.
