I’m thrilled to announce that the Knowledge Commons (formerly Humanities Commons) team has been awarded an ORCID Global Participation Fund grant to facilitate better two-way data transfer between the Knowledge Commons platform and researcher’s ORCID profiles.
This project integrates ORCID with Knowledge Commons (KC, formerly Humanities Commons), a scholarly communications platform with a global audience of over 50,000 users. Academy-owned/operated and free to use, KC provides tools for open scholarly collaboration and communication.
We have built a plugin that allows scholars to display their public ORCID data on any WordPress site; in this project, we will integrate the plugin with KC and establish KC as an ORCID data provider, enabling two-way connections across the systems.
Find out more about this project in the slideshow for the kickoff event, on ORCID’s website, or check out Knowledge Commons!
